Rhett's Pet's

With the move just about a month away, I needed to figure out were all the breeding projects would be kept. While I have to say I started to go into panic mode. After talking with several people and looking into maybe renting a small space. I finally found a local pet store (Ange's for the love of pets) that had some room. This is an exciting step for me as I now have my foot in the door and heading in a direction toward my dream carrier. We are currently working out a partnership. Ange likes the dog, cat, bird, and supply part of the pet business, as I love the reptile, spider, scorpion, mouse, rat, and rabbits. With the breeding projects I've got going and the contacts I've made the past 3 yrs. I think I can fill the store with enough eye catching displays to encourage people to come by and take a look. The first conversation about the partnership were on Monday and the decision to work together was made by the two of us on Wednesday. I will not be moving the animals into the pet store until late Feb. early March. With very limited funds this small step will help create future opportunity for the growth of Rhett's Pet's. This is still just a part time thing, but I'm hopping it will evolve into much more. Wish me luck!

Here is a funny for the day.

American Jobs???

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm
clock
(MADE IN JAPAN)
for 6 am.

While His

coffeepot

(MADE IN CHINA)

was perking, he shaved with his

electric razor

(MADE IN HONG KONG).

He put on a

dress shirt

(MADE IN SRI LANKA),

designer jeans

(MADE IN SINGAPORE)

and

tennis shoes

(MADE IN KOREA)

After cooking his breakfast in his new

electric skillet

(MADE IN INDIA)

he sat down with his

calculator

(MADE IN MEXICO)

to see how much he could spend today.

After setting his

watch

(MADE IN TAIWAN)

to the

radio

(MADE IN INDIA)

he got in his

car

(MADE IN GERMANY)

filled it with

GAS

(from Saudi Arabia)

and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end

of yet another discouraging

and fruitless day

checking his

Computer

(Made In Malaysia),

Joe decided to relax for a while.

He put on his

sandals
(MADE IN BRAZIL)

poured himself a glass of

wine

(MADE IN FRANCE)

and turned on his

TV

(MADE IN INDONESIA),

and then wondered

why he can't find

a good paying job

in AMERICA.

Today I learned about 2 circles. The first is the circle of concern. In this circle is everything we think (or worry) about everyday. Like our economy, jobs, bills, gas prices, etc. Most of which we don't have the ability to control. Also inside this circle is our negative attitudes. Which we create for ourselves because we complain about things we have no control over. The next circle is the circle of influence. This is the circle we can control. Like how we react to day to day situations, what we eat for dinner, how we treat others, the decision we make regarding our families, etc. Our circle of influence is basically our ability to influence any situation in a positive of negative way.

What are you going to do today to influence someone in a positive way???!!!

Jazzing up January #2 (What'z UuuuuuuuuP!)

I'm wondering if women should be put in rubber suits. Take a look at this clip and tell me what you think (and I thought I was crazy).

What'z UuuuuuuuuP!

Today I'm grateful for hugs. When I come home from a long day away the kids come running to give me giant hugs. You just gotta love life.

Jazzing up January (PG-13 Funnies)

It's time to get all jazzed up. I know we are 7 days into the month, but better late then never. Just remember today's funnies are PG-13!

Today I was able to start the first part of the calender project. With my time line I've got to complete 1 project every 30 days. I took 3 pic of different angles. 5 hrs down 25-30 to go. The camera couldn't pick out all the light sketching. There is a lot more work that the pics don't show.

Big Birdz Out of Hidding

First of all I have to thank Santa Claus, (and his elves)! The kids really enjoyed what was left for them. Rhett had so much fun opening his gifts.

I think I tried to crawl in a hole and hide from the holidays. It's a very humbling experience getting help from others. I'm very grateful for all of you who helped out my family this year!

THANK YOU!!!

With 2008 out of the way, we start off 2009 with a challenge.

Losing the house. (Which is a blessing) The stress just trying to keep up on the payment has just been unbearable. We just need to down size. I'm still trying to figure out how the 6 of us are going to fit into a 3 bedroom apartment/condo? I'm sure Pam is cooking up some ideas. I've got to figure out what I'm going to do with all the animals while were in this transition phase. The animals have just helped us out. Maybe the pet store isn't to far out of reach? (If anyone knows how to apply for government grants will you please let me know.)

Today I am grateful for all the kind and caring people that have helped us this past year. My your New Year be filled with joy!!!
